Outdoor Adventure Weekend
Day 1: Friday
- Afternoon: Arrive in the Tri-Cities and check into your hotel. Look for one nearby the river or trails so you can get an early start on Saturday!
- Evening: Fuel up for tomorrow’s trails. Picnic in the park along the river at Wade Park in Pasco, dine in a restaurant by the marina at Columbia Point in Richland, or enjoy the Native American artwork and views on Clover Island in Kennewick.
Day 2: Saturday
- Morning: Have breakfast at the hotel, or the cozy local SagePort Grille. Launch a rented kayak or paddleboard from a riverside dock, and paddle on the still water of the Columbia River. Or, play a round of FootGolf (soccer + golf) at the Columbia Park Golf Tri-Plex.
- Lunch: Hike the 2-mile path to the summit of Badger Mountain and admire the sweeping views of the Tri-Cities, followed by lunch at 3 Eyed Fish Kitchen + Bar.
- Afternoon: Stroll a section of the Sacagawea Heritage Trail or Richland Riverfront Trail along the river, reading the “Pompy's Lessons” trail markers located every ¼ mile to learn about local flora and fauna.
- Evening: Enjoy a well-deserved riverside dinner at Cedars at Pier 1 or Fable by J. Bookwalter. A patio dinner is a treat if it’s not too hot!
Day 3: Sunday
- Morning: Enjoy some fresh baked goods with coffee from beloved local bakeries Spudnuts (donuts made with potato flour, family-owned since 1948), Ethos Bakery & Cafe, who uses their own stone-milled flour from local wheat, Some Bagels & Gelato, a local favorite since 1991, or an all-natural real fruit smoothie from FreshPicks Smoothies.
- Lunch: Before you head home, rent a bike from Greenies or Wheelhouse Community Bike Shop, or an e-bike from Cora’s E-Bike Shop, and explore another section of the Sacagawea Heritage Trail or Richland Riverfront Trail.
